The friendship between a toddler and his chocolate Labrador retriever has melted hearts as the dog had the little boy in peals of laughter.
Katie Pike, a content creator from Massachusetts, lives with her husband, toddler Charlie, and two dogs Moose and Poppy, and is expecting her second child, meaning she has a very busy household.
But, as proven by a viral video, there's plenty of laughter in it.
"Charlie loves both his pups, however, he and Poppy have always had a close relationship," Pike told Newsweek. "He's her baby."
"She has always been so good and gentle with him. She's very patient, affectionate, and as you saw in the video, playful!"
In a video shared to the dogs' dedicated TikTok account, @mooseandpoppy, in February, Poppy can be seen having a flurry of energy, often referred to as "zoomies."
While usually dogs with zoomies will rush back and forth, jumping on everything they can, and not caring what gets in their way, Poppy appeared to be toning down her energy to make it safe—yet hilarious—for the little boy watching her.
Charlie was loving every minute, laughing constantly as Poppy spun in circles, and stopped momentarily before running back and forth again, sneezing and shaking her head.

And even when Charlie got knocked over in the chaos, the laughter didn't stop, and he sat on the floor watching his dog with non-stop giggles.
Pike told Newsweek: "Typically when she gets the zoomies, she's darting all over the house, but in this case, she was very aware of her surroundings and her little brother. Charlie thinks zoomies are hilarious so Poppy's zoomies made him laugh—and in turn, his laughing made her zoomie!"
Labrador retrievers have long been one of the most popular breeds in America, known for their friendly and outgoing nature. They are noted for being excellent with young children and forming a bond with the whole family, according to the American Kennel Club.
TikTok users loved the interaction between the boy and his dog, with one commenter summing it up: "I'm going to go out on a limb here and say they love each other. Besties for life!"
"It's like he knows he has to be gentle so he's doing his zoomies with the parking brake on," another laughed, while one described it as "lower case zoomies" and a fourth said it was "zoomies on child lock."
And as one put it: "Zoomies induced laughter, laughter induced zoomies."

Pike, who also posts to Instagram, said they were "so grateful" for the community they've built since she started sharing life with her dogs in 2018, admitting she "never expected to reach people around the world."
Her content, starting from the dogs when they were puppies and now including life with a toddler, "includes the realities of raising two dogs and a toddler and all the giggles and zoomies that come with it."
"People feel a connection to Moose and Poppy and often comment or message to say how they made them smile or reminded them of their own dog," she said.
"It has been a positive and fun experience and it makes me so happy to spread some smiles."
