Half of the unprovoked shark attacks in the U.S. last year took place along the Florida coastline, new data shows.

A new analysis has ranked beaches based on the risk of shark attacks, surf zone fatalities and hurricanes. One state dominates.

A 13-foot great white was tracked off the coast of Florida, while two other great whites were tracked near Nova Scotia.

Shark bites have recently been reported on other marine animals, like whales and seals.

Australia had the most fatal attacks out of any country, largely due to its high population of great white sharks.

The attack comes 12 days after teenager Khai Cowley was killed by a suspected great white in South Australia.

The boy's body was recovered from the water after police were called to the area at about 1:30 p.m. on December 28.

Researchers have found that between 2015 and 2018, around 800 individual sharks gathered in the waters off Cape Cod.

The seal was discovered a day after a local uploaded a video of a shark attacking a sea creature at Nantucket, Massachusetts.

The footage was captured by a surfcam on Indian Harbor Beach. Florida wildlife officials are now investigating the incident.

The woman's husband continued to look for her as the shark circled around him, but officials later confirmed she had been killed.

Bob is one of the many animals tagged by OCEARCH, a non-profit ocean research organization that tags and studies sharks and turtles, among other species.
