The story of a baby and her dog's yearslong tradition has left viewers in tears, with a sweet twist to end their tale.
Ivy the Bernese mountain dog lives in New England with her owners and their daughter, now two years old.
The dog has multiple social media accounts dedicated to her, including TikTok @ivytheberner, where they have documented her life for years, including her growing bond with their daughter.
And on February 12, they shared a video montage of Ivy and their daughter's favorite tradition, which ended in an adorable announcement.
"For two years, every morning, this was their window to the world," the video begins, showing Ivy and the baby girl in 2023, sitting atop the sofa and staring outside.
It shows a montage of clips of Ivy and her human sister watching out the window, following passing cars and getting excited at their owner and mother coming and going from work.
As the months and years pass, the little girl begins to grow up, but the dog is still right there by her side, watching thunderstorms and blizzards, taking naps, and—in the baby's case—learning to wave hello and goodbye.
In May 2024, a for sale sign goes up outside the window, and soon the couch is gone, with Ivy seen lying on the bare floor waiting for the movers, while the little girl, now able to stand on her own, stares out the window at the world passing by.

Their tradition continues in their new home however, as the duo find their new favorite spot-on the couch looking out a new window.
But as they wrote over the clip, while "some things stay the same," there was a "really big surprise" to come—a new arrival to the family.
The sweet video ends with Ivy and the toddler looking out the window as usual, but this time joined by a new baby, with the now big sister keeping a protective arm around her young sibling, and Ivy keeping an eye on them both.
TikTok users were obsessed with the video and the story it told, with one commenter declaring: "This dog has to live at least 30 years."
One called it "so sweet," and asked: "Did I just watch a Disney short movie?"
"I think I'm not wrong when I say this is one of the most beautiful videos on the internet," another said, as one said it "should be made into a children's book about moving," and another called it "the happiest video on earth."
"I went from crying to laughing to crying to laughing to WEEPING at the end," one person said. "Not her whispering to her baby sister!"

Sharing the video to their Instagram @ivyberner, the dog's owner also wrote a caption: "Every morning, while I get ready for work, Ivy and my daughter sit together, watching the world outside. It's their quiet time, part of the rhythm of our day.
"After two years of this, it's tough to leave the old house and the lifelong friends we made on that street, but we're excited for what's ahead. A new home, and a new baby to add to the mix. These simple moments remind us how much things change—and how much they stay the same."
Bernese mountain dogs are one of the largest breeds, growing up to 27.5 inches at the shoulder and weighing up to 115 pounds, but have a gentle and calm nature, according to the American Kennel Club (AKC).
The breed is noted for being good with young children, and lovey-dovey toward family.
