Woman Pays Extra for Video of Her on Zipline, Hysterics at Result—'Humbled'

A video about a woman being "humbled" during an attempt to capture "cute" memories of her zipline experience in Thailand has gone viral on TikTok.

The clip was posted by @gracious_travels and has amassed 1.2 million views since it was shared on February 11. The footage was taken in Chiang Mai, the country's second largest city, located just north of Bangkok, the Thai capital.

A note overlaid on the video reads: "You paid extra to get cute videos and all you got is humbled."

The footage shows the woman in a Superman-style belly down position, with arms spread out to the side and legs stretched out in the back. The video captures a comical back view of the woman, with the harness of the zipline appearing to fit tightly around her bum area.

A caption shared with the post simply reads: "Think I need some fake tan and a booty work out."

First used more than a 100 years ago to transport supplies in the Indian Himalayas, ziplines have been a popular form of outdoor recreation over the past decade and "the rapid increase in zipline-related injuries in recent years suggests the need for additional safety guidelines and regulations," warns a December 2015 study in the American Journal of Emergency Medicine.

According to the study, the annual injury rate per 1 million people increased by 52.3 percent from 7.64 injuries in 2009 to 11.64 injuries in 2012. Patients aged up to nine years old accounted for nearly half (45 percent) of injuries and females made up roughly the other half (53.1 percent) of injuries, while 11.7 percent of patients required hospitalization.

'That Camera Did You Wrong'

Viewers on TikTok were sympathetic towards the poster's mortifying feeling in the viral clip, praising the woman for sharing the funny footage anyway.
